THE VINEYARDS
The vineyards extend over an area of 170 hectares at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level. Grape varieties grown include indigenous Hungarian varieties, Kékfrankos and Hàrslevelu, as well as red and white international varieties, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
The estate’s vineyards are located in three main areas, in the Volgyseg district’s rolling hillsides, a subzone of Tolna, known and respected for the aromatic qualities of its wines. Other vineyards lie near the towns of Mórágy and Mőcsény, respectively north and east of the estate,
where soil compositionwhere soil composition and climatic conditions vary greatly and can fully express the winemaking potential of this diversified wine region. The remaining vineyard blocks are near the village of Bátaapáti where the estate’s main offices are.
The aromatic and fragrant white wines produced reflect all the unique fragrances and aromas that are characteristic of this territory and are the result of extraordinary care given to the art of winemaking. These special microclimatic conditions are ideal for refined, aromatic and elegant white wines.
